The mission of the TYE Shadow Day Program is to further TiE’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and giving back to our local communities by providing high school students (grades 9–12) with meaningful exposure to real-world careers.
Through direct access to successful entrepreneurs and professionals across industries such as STEM, law, finance, communications, healthcare, and more, we aim to inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators.

Through job shadowing, students gain the opportunity to observe professionals in the fields they aspire to pursue. This experience provides valuable real-world exposure and practical insight beyond the classroom, helping students better understand day-to-day responsibilities, workplace expectations, and career pathways.
By engaging directly with industry professionals, students build confidence, expand their knowledge, and develop a stronger foundation as they prepare for their academic and professional futures.

The TYE Shadow Day Program is completely free for all participating high school students.
Open to all high school students in grades 9–12. Participants will be selected through a
screening process based on their resume, cover letter, and demonstrated interest in the
field. We encourage students to apply early, as applications are reviewed on a rolling basis
and spots are limited.
Students will gain firsthand exposure to real workplaces, learn from experienced
professionals, and develop a better understanding of different career paths and industries.
Participants will also build professional awareness, workplace skills, and industry
knowledge.
Shadow Days take place at the hosting companies, primarily in Orange County, with a few
opportunities in Los Angeles County.
Yes! Upon completing a Shadow Day, you will receive a TiE Certificate recognizing your
participation. This certificate is a valuable addition to your resume and extracurricular
record.
